Nevada Day Parade History
The Nevada Day Parade traces its roots back to the early 20th century, when Nevadans first gathered to honor the state’s admission to the Union on October 31, 1864. Over the decades, it has grown from a small community celebration into the largest statehood parade in the nation. Held annually in Carson City, the parade showcases Nevada’s rich history, diverse cultures, and proud traditions through marching bands, floats, equestrian groups, and more—continuing a legacy that unites generations in celebration of the Silver State.
