Important Safety Tips – Situation awareness be aware of your surroundings!

Stay Alert: Be aware of your surroundings and the activities happening around you.

Know Your Exits: Familiarize yourself with the nearest emergency exits and assembly points.

Protect Yourself from the Sun: Wear sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses to prevent sunburn. Dress in warm clothes or layers.

Look for Helpers:

Parade Marshals are in yellow. These volunteers are here to help with the parade lineup and ensure everyone gets safely down the parade route. Please be kind!

Parade Board Members are in purple. These volunteers work hard all year to make sure we have a great parade. Please be kind!

C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team) members are on-site should their services be needed; they will be in green.

We also have police, REMSA, and fire personnel on standby should their services be needed.
Lost/Found Persons:
We have a designated missing person hub located behind City Hall. If you lose or find someone, please call _____________ and make your way to the closest information booth, marshal, or police officer to escort them to the missing person hub.

Severe Weather: In case of severe weather, we will make an announcement with updates.

Find Shelter: Locate a safe indoor space nearby. If no building is accessible, seek cover in a vehicle or stay put in a sheltered area away from any hazards.

Stay Informed: Keep your mobile devices charged and stay tuned to local news or emergency services for updates.

Remain Calm: Stay where you are until it is deemed safe to leave. Avoid unnecessary movement and maintain social distancing if possible.
