Two landmark events. One unforgettable Independence Day. Come ride, race, or just line the street and cheer. You've celebrated with us before, and now we're bringing the excitement all over again! As part of America's 250th birthday, we have two incredible events lined up this 4th of July that you do NOT want to miss. Whether you want to ride, race, volunteer, or just come out and cheer — there's a spot here with your name on it!

Freedom Cruise America 250
Rev up your engines for a rolling tribute to 250 years of American independence! Deck out your ride in patriotic America 250-themed decorations and cruise Carson Street for a chance to win big. Staging begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Arlington parking lot (500 N. Carson St., across from the Nugget Casino). The procession runs from N. Carson Street & Robinson Street to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, led by Carson City Mayor Lori Bagwell — who will also serve as honorary judge!
Registration: $75–$250 | Cash Prizes: 1st $1,000 · 2nd $500 · 3rd $250
Can't enter? Come to Carson Street and cheer on the event!

4th of July Soapbox Derby
Then at 2:00 p.m., the excitement continues at the Galaxy Theatres parking lot as young racers ages 6–13 take the wheel in the Nevada Day Youth Soapbox Derby, proudly supported by Carson City Casino Fandango! Kids build and race their own gravity-powered cars — pure, community fun the whole family will love.
Registration: $20 per racer | Soapbox kits available at the Nevada Day Gift Shop or RE/MAX Professionals – The Bartshe Group.
These events are made possible by folks just like you — people who love this community, love this state, and love a great celebration. Come be a part of Nevada history this Independence Day!
