NEVADA DAY CLASSIC RUN/WALK

More than 400 runners and walkers of all shapes and sizes - and even attire - are expected to hit the streets of Carson City for the 20th annual Carson Nugget Nevada Day Classic on Saturday, October 31, 2009. This event, sponsored by the Carson Nugget, Fleet Feet, and the Sagebrush Stompers, benefits Special Olympics.

The event will feature 8-kilometer and 2-mile runs and 2-mile walk through the city's historical district, all starting from the corner of Telegraph and Curry streets, across the street from the Carson Nugget.

The gun for the 8-K (4.97miles) at 8:15 a.m., followed by the 2-mile walk at 8:25 and the 2-mile fun run at 8:25.

Entry fees:
RACES: $25, if post marked by 10/15, thereafter $30.00.
FAMILY RATE: 2 adults and 2 children from the same family $75, if post marked by 10/15 thereafter $90.00.
SAGEBRUSH STOMPERS & TAHOE MTN. MILERS: $20, if post marked by 10/15, thereafter $25.00.
