The Nevada Day
(1938 - 2013)
2013 Parade Day:
October 26, 2013
Congratulations to the 2013 Parade Winners!
With little help from Mother Nature, we had another picture-perfect day for the 2013 Nevada Day Parade - what a wonderful way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the FIRST Nevada Day Parade held in Carson City in 1938!
THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 2013 Nevada Day parade - your efforts are a big part of what made the day fun and exciting for all those who lined the streets to watch ... and line the streets they did! Carson Street was PACKED with multi-generations of spectators throughout the parade route - in some places 4 to 5 rows deep - to watch one of the best parades in recent memory - if not the most historic. What a celebration!
This year, we're pleased to bring back Parade Awards! We congratulate all entries - large and small - you all played a part in the huge success of this year's parade! If your parade entry is listed below, someone from the Parade Committee will be in contact with you soon about how and where to claim your prize.
